Commercial Air Conditioning Installation

Air conditioning designed around how your building is actually used: comfortable for occupants, efficient to run, compliant and easy to maintain.

Our approach

Commercial air conditioning that’s engineered, not guessed.

Commercial buildings have very different cooling and heating loads from homes. Occupancy changes through the day, IT and lighting add heat, glazing and orientation create hot spots, and different areas often need different conditions. Getting the design right is what separates a system that quietly does its job from one that generates complaints.

We start with a survey: room-by-room loads, occupancy, existing plant, electrical capacity, routes for pipework and condensate, locations for outdoor units, noise considerations for neighbours and planning, and access for future maintenance. From that we propose a system with clear options.

Most of the systems we install are reverse-cycle, so the same equipment provides efficient heating. That often lets businesses retire old gas heaters or electric panel heaters and cut both energy use and carbon emissions.

System types

Choosing the right commercial system.

01

Split & multi-split

Wall, floor and ceiling units for individual offices, meeting rooms, shops and smaller premises.

  • Fast installation
  • Individual room control
  • Cost-effective
02

Ceiling cassettes

Flush-mounted units that spread air evenly across open-plan offices, retail floors and restaurants.

  • Even airflow
  • Discreet
  • Suspended ceilings
03

Ducted systems

Concealed units above the ceiling with only grilles visible, for a clean architectural finish.

  • Hidden equipment
  • Fresh air integration
  • Quiet
04

VRF / VRV

Multi-zone systems for larger buildings, with heat recovery options for simultaneous heating and cooling.

  • Many zones
  • High efficiency
  • Central control

05

Controls & BMS

Central controllers, scheduling, setpoint limits, remote monitoring and BMS integration where needed.

  • Energy savings
  • Lockable setpoints
  • Remote access
06

Replacement projects

Replacing older R22 or R410A plant with modern, efficient, lower-GWP equipment, phased to keep you running.

  • Phased works
  • Refrigerant future-proofing
  • Lower running costs
What a good design considers

The details that make the difference.

  • Heat load calculations for each zone, including people, equipment, lighting and solar gain
  • Zoning and control so meeting rooms, open-plan areas and perimeter offices aren’t fighting each other
  • Fresh air and ventilation: air conditioning recirculates air, so we consider how ventilation requirements are met
  • Refrigerant choice with an eye on the F-Gas phase-down and leak-check obligations
  • Outdoor plant location: airflow, acoustics, structural loading, planning and safe maintenance access
  • Condensate management that is reliable and accessible
  • Maintainability: filter access, isolation valves and service clearances designed in from the start
Project delivery

How we deliver commercial installations.

  1. Survey

Site visit, loads, constraints, existing plant and priorities.

  2. Proposal

Design, equipment selection, programme and options in writing.

  3. Install

Coordinated, tidy working around your operations; out-of-hours where needed.

  4. Commission & handover

Testing, commissioning, documentation, F-Gas records and training.

Useful answers

Common questions

How long does a commercial air conditioning installation take?

A few days for a small office or shop; several weeks for a multi-floor VRF system. We’ll give you a programme with the proposal and agree working hours that suit the building.

Can you work while our building is occupied?

Yes. We phase works floor by floor or zone by zone, work out of hours where needed, and keep noise and disruption to a minimum.

Do we need planning permission for outdoor units?

Sometimes. It depends on the building, location, noise and whether it’s listed or in a conservation area. We’ll flag this early so it doesn’t delay your programme.

Can air conditioning replace our gas heating?

In many buildings, reverse-cycle systems can provide all or most of the space heating, often at lower running cost and carbon than older gas plant. We’ll assess whether that works for you.

Do you offer maintenance after installation?

Yes. Most clients take a planned maintenance contract so the system stays efficient, compliant and in warranty.
